BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP LEAD LINE REPLACEMENT

NJ I-Bank and NJDEP Helping to Improve New Jersey's Infrastructure, One Project at a Time

Bloomfield Township recently closed on a $8 million loan with the NJ Water Bank to identify and replace lead service lines to address elevated lead levels. Lead service lines will be inspected and replaced from the existing water main to the curb and curb box. If it cannot be confirmed that the existing pipes are made of copper or plastic, those lines will also be replaced from the curb box to the water meter inside the property. Additionally, the project will include restoring the site as needed following trench excavation.
