BOONTON TOWN SEWER IMPROVEMENT PROJECT

NJ I-Bank and NJDEP Helping to Improve New Jersey's Infrastructure, One Project at a Time

The Town of Boonton recently closed on a $2,343,296 loan with the NJ Water Bank to increase the capacity of a critical sewer main that conveys sewer flows from the northwestern part of the Town to the Rockaway Valley Regional Sewerage Authority (RVRSA). The northwestern region is experiencing a significant amount of planned or anticipated redevelopment. To convey these sewage flows, this project will install approximately 1,009 linear feet (LF) of new 10-inch sewer main and 9 new manholes. Additionally, it will increase the size of 952 LF of 12-inch sewer main and replace 30service laterals. This project will decrease the likelihood of leakage and spills due to inadequate capacity.
