LITTLE EGG HARBOR MUA SEWER MAIN REPLACEMENT

NJ I-Bank and NJDEP Helping to Improve New Jersey's Infrastructure, One Project at a Time

The Little Egg Harbor MUA ("LEHMUA") recently closed on a $3,476,398 loan with the NJ Water Bank to replace a faulty sewer main. The LEHMUA has experienced multiple pipe collapses each year, necessitating emergency repairs. Given the age and material of the pipes, repairs require skilled handling to prevent further damage. These mainline collapses can lead to sewer blockages and backups, potentially impacting public health.

The project included the installation of approximately 9,840 linear feet of new 8-inch diameter PVC sewer main, 376 lateral sanitary sewer service connections, and 35 new sanitary sewer manholes.
