EAST ORANGE CITY CROSSINGS AT BRICK CHURCH LOAN

East Orange City recently closed on a $10,500,000 loan with the New Jersey Water Bank for proposed water quality improvements at the Crossings at Brick Church. The site is currently designated as a Brownfield site and the water facilities in and around the project are substandard and in need of rehabilitation. The project will provide necessary improvements to the stormwater and sanitary sewer infrastructure systems in the area. The existing building will be demolished and replaced, substandard infrastructure will be rehabilitated, and a ground water remediation program will be implemented. An impervious cap will be constructed through appropriate building foundations and asphalt-paved roadways to mitigate and prevent further contamination of the site and the surrounding areas.
