The Brick Township MUA recently closed on a $17,094,937 loan with the NJ Water Bank to integrate a Granular Activated Carbon (GAC) adsorption process into their existing treatment facility for water quality enhancement and the removal of currently unregulated contaminants that are the subject of certain health advisories and recommendations by the US EPA the NJDEP. The project includes procurement and installation of 12 pairs of GAC adsorption vessels, concrete pad, enclosure, and associated piping modifications to integrate the new treatment process into the existing treatment stream.
