Harrison Town recently closed on a $19.2 loan with the NJ Water Bank to replace approximately 1,600 lead service lines in its drinking water system. State law mandates the replacement of lead and galvanized metal service lines and related components, as these materials are significant sources of lead in drinking water—a serious public health risk, particularly for pregnant women and children.
